I hate my job for oh-so-many reasons. Three people, one huge department dealing with 30-50,000 in business daily. One can only work the morning shift and no weekends, the other can work nights but no weekends. They both say it's for their kids, which is fine, but when I hear other coworkers planning to go party and drink at one of the mothers I work with, it makes me wonder. They can't come in to work on weekends because their watching their kid, but they can also party? Hmm...Beyond that, I have an insane amount of things to do at my job, and one guy at work hates me and constantly nags me because I'm not helping other departments. So because I'm doing MY job where it's understaffed, and not helping YOU, I'm in trouble? It makes no sense and I honestly think of ways to get him in trouble for harassing me daily. His job is to straighten shelves for 8 hours, and if he and the 3 other people in that department can't finish, EVERYONE has to stay late, sometimes over an hour past the time they're supposed to leave. If I can't finish pulling an order or re-stock my shelves, nobody cares and I'm told that the morning person will have to finish it. If I have a line of customers right as I'm supposed to leave, nobody comes to help, no matter how much I call. I'm told to have the customers DO MY JOB to get them out faster instead of having managers come to help. So despite the fact that nobody ever comes to help my department, I'm the bad guy for not helping everyone else. And how about this? I have to do pull orders from faxes, scan it, get it approved, re-stock my shelves, make sure nothing is expired, keep everything extremely clean, pull orders from people off the streets who haven't faxed anything, scan THAT and get it approved, do payments, ring huge amounts of groceries for my customers AND customers from departments where there's too many people, straighten shelves. But I'm also supposed to find time to straighten ten aisles? And if I DO everything BUT straighten the shelves, I'm criticised and told I could have found the time to do it??? When? If my supervisor ever WENT to my department to help out, he'd know how busy I am! Oh well, when the tell-all comes out, I guess I'll have the last laugh!
